Hello everybody!
We are really happy to welcome all dog owners as well as curios wanderers at our home page. We hope you will find something of interest and of course some new information concerning Welsh Springer Spaniel, still a rare breed in Estonia. Please come back sometimes and keep an eye on our activities.
Our family lives at Kristiine area, the smallest and one of the greenest districts in Tallinn - capital of Estonia. Historically this part of Tallinn is well known as a resting area for citizens and summer manors outside the town borders. Remarkable number of arboreta and gardening farms were founded here years ago now transformed into parks and public green areas. Our house is surrounded by a large and a little bit wild garden where we can spend hours digging, planting and mowing the lawn.
We started dog breeding in May 2000 when bringing home a new family member from Sweden, Dimmö kennel - a sweet and active Welshie-girl Dimmös Bessie Smith. We have never had chance to choose a puppy to our taste but we confess - we are very pleased with Bessie's breeder - Monica Schultz' is choice.
Our dogs play an important role in our life. Our trips very much depend on the fact whether we can take them with us or not. We cannot say that Estonia today is very friendly regarding dogs. We hope very much that one day we could take our dogs to cafés, shops or simply walking on promenades with us like it is in Paris today. At present we spend weekends with our hunting dogs in the beautiful forests and swamps of Estonia.
Sincerely yours, Helle and Uno Vaino
